Terra Alto. ECOterra's Extraordinary New Community!

ECOterra Design-Build is excited to announce our new, age-restricted, gated community in the Mariposa Master Planned Development in Rio Rancho just minutes to I-25 with easy access to Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

The rolling hills and expansive views overlooking a 2,200 acre preserve are what initially attracted us to this stunning site. The views to multiple mountain ranges and city lights are simply amazing from the property.

While some developers and builders would consider this challenging terrain, at ECOterra we see this gorgeous land as an opportunity to build some really remarkable homes.

ECOterra has built several custom homes in neighborhoods within Mariposa. While planning Terra Alto, We have spent a great deal of time and effort preserving all of the existing outdoor activities including hiking and biking trails in Mariposa.

Our vision for Terra Alto is to build high-quality custom and predesigned luxury homes, all designed by Kaye Marshall, that are in the 2000-3000 square foot range. These homes will be at or near net zero energy while also maintaining the same level of quality, fit, and finish of a larger custom home for future downsizing clients.

Terra Alto will also be a great fit for lock and leave clients that would like to travel more yet still have a comfort level of managing their home remotely. ECOterra homes include high-end appliances, home automation, renewable energy and much more.

It has been quite a process, but we are very excited to bring the Terra Alto concept to reality. Over the next few months, we will be starting to move dirt, get our infrastructure in place, and will begin building homes starting the end of 2026. Our sales team will start pre-selling this summer.
